3 new ways to serve traditional kofta
There are more of a dozen ways to prepare and serve kofta kebab for lunch, dinner or as sandwiches. However, there are some versions that stand out above the rest and add some originality to your table.
With mushroom sauce
This variation calls for mouthwatering kofta balls with a side of delicious mushroom and heavy cream sauce. Mince kofta in the meat mincer attachment of Moulinex Odacio food processor. Add onions, parsley and your favorite seasonings then mix in the food processor bowl until combined. Cook as usual and prepare the mushroom sauce; chop pepper and mushrooms in your food processor then sauté in butter. Cook until tender then stir in flour. Add heavy cream and adjust the seasoning. Align the kofta balls in a serving dish and smother them with sauce, or simply pour the sauce into the bottom of your dish and add kofta balls on top.
With yogurt tahini sauce
Nothing like kofta with yogurt sauce and tahini to dazzle your guests. Mix kofta ingredients in your food processor then cook. Meanwhile process the yogurt, tahini, and garlic with lemon juice and the rest of your seasonings in your food processor. When your kofta is ready align on a serving dish and drizzle some of the sauce on top.
With cherry sauce
Kofta with cherry sauce is a fabulous gathering food that will leave everyone in awe. Process kofta mixture in the food processor, shape into small balls and cook until well done from all sides. Meanwhile, process fresh sour cherries, salt, cinnamon and sugar in a food processor. Simmer until thick then add some cornstarch diluted in water. Stir until thick then add kofta meatballs and simmer for few more minutes. When you’re done, stick a toothpick in each ball and serve it as an appetizer, making it easier for your guests to pick them up with their hands.
