Coconut Date Energy Balls
Ingredients
For 5 people
- 7-10 dates, depending on size
- 1 cup of soaked almonds
- 1 tsp of maca
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1 tbsp of grated coconut (save some to roll the energy balls)
Instructions
Put everything into ULTRABLEND + and select the “nuts” function. Lightly blend, leaving some small pieces in the mixture.
Stop the blender when you have your desired consistency. The mixture shouldn't be too thin; it should resemble a paste.
Take a spoonful of the mixture and roll in the palm of your hand.
Then roll in the grated coconut and place in the refrigerator.
Tips
This is a healthy snack to boost your energy before playing sports, etc. The dried dates provide fibre and minerals as well as carbohydrates for energy. The almonds provide crunchiness and soaking them renders their phytique acids inactive, thereby facilitating the absorption of nutrients.
