Muhammara Recipe
Ingredients
For 4 people
- 4 medium-sized bell peppers
- 1/3 cup walnuts
- 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- To garnish:
- Olive oil – as desired
- Pita bread – as desired
Instructions
Core and deseed chili peppers then roast them in a pre-heated oven over medium heat. Peel and leave aside to cool.
Roast walnuts in a non-stick pan over medium heat until browned.
In ULTRABLEND +, combine bell peppers, walnuts, pomegranate molasses, chili powder, cumin, tomato paste, salt, garlic, breadcrumbs and oil.
Use the “Nuts” function until ingredients are combined.
Pour Muhammara in a serving dish and garnish with bread and olive oil.
