Fried Semolina Pastries Recipe
Ingredients
For 10 people
- 4 cups flour
- 4 cups semolina
- 6 tbsp anise seeds
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp instant yeast
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 cups warm milk
Instructions
In Masterchef Gourmet bowl, combine flour, semolina, anise seeds, sugar, yeast and salt.
Add vegetable oil and mix the ingredients until combined.
Gradually add warm milk and knead until you get a firm smooth dough.
Cover the bowl with a kitchen cloth and let sit for 10 minutes.
Shape the dough into finger-shaped pieces. Press each piece into the sharp side of the grater and roll it.
Deep fry until golden brown. Dip in sugar syrup while hot then serve.
